Welcome back everyone!

Welcome back to you all after the Summer break and a very warm welcome to all our new starters Florence, Evie, Theodore, Rosalie, Hugo and Lenny.

This term the children will be learning about animals. They will be doing lots of different activities including arts and crafts based on sheep, giraffes, turtles, fish, jellyfish and dinosaurs.

The children will also be making their Christmas designs this term, ready to be turned into cards, gift tags and wrapping paper for the festive season (more info to follow).

A big thank you to all of you who came along to our annual Sports Day & Family Picnic. From the raffle, book sale, photos and refreshments we raised £157.44.

As a fundraising event for the new build at the Memorial Hall, we are holding a Frock Swap on Friday 6th October at 7.30pm at Downton Memorial Hall. Bring along up to 3 items to swap (clothing, jewellery, shoes, bags) and update your Autumn wardrobe! There will also be a raffle, beauty and skincare stalls, sweet treats and prosecco. Tickets are £5 each and are available from pre-school and Ever So.

The new trikes have gone down really well with the children. You may have noticed we have bought some other new toys, both indoor and outdoor and have transformed our book corner.

We were able to buy them with the amazing donation we received from the Co-op Local Community Fund last term. We are also included in this round of fundraising at Downton Co-op so please sign up for a member's card if you haven't already at and help us raise even more for the pre-school.

If your child turns four before 1st September 2018, then you can now apply for their primary school place. The closing date is 15th January 2018. Paper forms are available at pre-school or you can apply online at

We are still running the snack donation system at pre-school where we ask each family to please bring in a pack of fruit, dried fruit or crackers or £1 each week, if they can. It makes a huge difference to our weekly snack costs so thank you for your support.
