September 2018 Newsletter
Welcome back everyone!
Welcome back to you all after the Summer break and a very warm welcome to all our new starters Poppy, Angel, India, Florence, William, Daisy and Tabitha.
This term we are sharing a different story each week and will be doing craft activities linked to that story. For example, we have enjoyed sharing and talking about Julia Donaldson's Room on the Broom and the children made some fantastic wands. Other stories will include The Gruffalo, What the ladybird heard and Rainbow fish.
The children have also started to make their own Christmas designs, ready to be made into cards and wrapping paper for the festive season. Don't forget to place your orders!
SPORTS DAY & FAMILY PICNIC
A big thank you to all of you who came along to our annual Sports Day & Family Picnic in July. From the raffle, photos and refreshments we raised £92.70.
The new building is progressing quickly now! There have been some build delays but we are hoping to have our new home fitted out and ready by the end of October. We are not allowed to open to children until Ofsted have been to inspect the new premises, so we need to wait for this inspection before we can move in. We have a wonderful big bright space, into which we have designed a reading area, construction area, role play area, small world, art and craft area and a sensory space. We have a kitchen so we can do cooking activities with the children, a lovely outside space with canopy for use in summer and winter, and a gate through to the park for nature walks and play. The new preschool looks fantastic already, and we can't wait to get in and get it ready for the children.
